Desiderio Alberto Arnaz and de Acha was born in Santiago, Cuba on March 2, 1917 and dies in Hollywood, United States, December 2, 1986, known as Desi Arnaz. Coming from an affluent Cuban family leaving the island in 1933 to settle down in Miami, Arnaz attempts several professions to help his family until he is accepted as a guitarist for the Siboney Sextet. After briefly working with Xavier Cugat in New York, Arnaz returns to Miami to direct his own combo and introduce conga to American audiences. It was so great success, both local and national, that Arnaz returns to New York to create his own band. He was offered a role in the 1939 Broadway musical Too Many Girls and later takes him to the film version in Hollywood. It was on this occasion that he meets his future wife Lucille Ball, whom he marries on November 30, 1940. In 1951 Arnaz directs his efforts to develop episodes of the famous TV series I Love Lucy, which was shot for six years at CBS studios and became the most successful TV show ever. Desilu Productions was an American producer owned by spouses Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. Until 1962, ′′ Desilu Productions ′′ was the second largest producer in the United States, only surpassed by MCA’s Revue Productions.
In 1967 Desilu Productions became another iconic company, Paramount Television. Desi was a prominent figure on TV and not proper movie theater. His son Desi Arnaz Jr. yes ventured into the world of cinema. Desi died of lung complications in 1986. ·
